Arizona Trail Association - April 2024

The Arizona National Scenic Trail is a complete non-motorized path from Mexico to Utah, stretching 800 diverse miles across Arizona to link deserts, mountains, canyons, forests, history, communities and diverse peoples.
The Arizona Trail Association’s mission is to protect, maintain, enhance, promote and sustain the Arizona Trail as a unique encounter with the natural environment.
In the spring of 2023, Blue Planet owners (seen here) hiked 720 miles of the AZT. They hope to complete the last 80 miles soon!

1% for the Planet originated along the banks of the Madison River when two longtime friends and successful businessmen went for a fishing trip in 2001.
Realizing businesses are responsible for their environmental impact, they pledged to donate 1% of their annual sales—not profits—to environmental organizations.
In 2002, Yvon Chouinard, founder of Patagonia, and Craig Mathews, founder of Blue Ribbon Flies, created 1% for the Planet and started a global movement.
